Donate to Keep the Carol of Lights Going Strong

Posted on November 30th, 2015 by DCBA

The 30th Anniversary of the Carol of Lights in Downtown Campbell is coming up in less than a week. We all love the Carol of Lights and want to keep it going, but in order to do so, we need to raise enough money to pay for the whole shebangs. There's no city funding for this. It's paid for through business sponsorships and small donations from people who've been generous enough to contribute a few bucks to help keep it going. If you love the Carol of Lights and you can spare a little money to help fund it, you can make a donation online through the Carol of Lights website.

Your donation will be made to the Campbell Parks and Recreation Foundation, a 501c3 organization. All donations collected will be set aside specifically to cover the costs of the Carol of Lights this year and in future years.

Stronghold is expected to begin construction in December. The renovation will add more than $60 million in physical and technological improvements to the building.

The Conference Center renovation will create more flexible meeting space, more usable pre-function space, advanced technology, and the ability to host multiple meetings simultaneously in a LEED-certified building.

Adjacent hotels, the Portola Hotel & Spa and the Monterey Marriott, do not expect to be affected by the remodel and are open for business. Grand opening of the Monterey Conference Center is expected in early 2017.
