Green Planet Yarn in Downtown Campbell is pleased to present the class Easy Peasy Baby Jacket. This class, held on four successive Thursdays, (April 12th, 19th, 26th, and May 3rd), is for beginning knitters.
Learn sweater making techniques in a jiffy! With this little sweater you can learn how to interpret a knit pattern and why swatching is important. You’ll also learn the 3-needle bind-off, how to pick up and knit stitches along an edge, and how to seam garter stitch pieces together, as well as either how to work buttonholes or how to make twisted strings for the tied sweater closing.

In this 3-session class you will learn how to make different
kinds of cables and how to read cable instructions, both written and charted.
You will also learn tricks for fixing errors in cables, how to block cabled
knitting, and how to turn a cable without using a cable needle.
Required skills: Students should know how to cast on, knit,
and purl.
Materials: worsted weight yarn and appropriate knitting
needles, cable needle, stitch markers (optional).
Students will be asked to start a swatch which will be used
in class, as follows:
Cast on 36 stitches.
Row 1: K3, p2, k2, p2, k4, p2, k6, p2, k4, p2, k2, p2, k3.
Row 2: K5, p2, k2, p4, k2, p6, k2, p4, k2, p2, k5.
Repeat Rows 1 and 2 at least 3 times.
