The Santa Clara County Library District is pleased to present The Distinguished Author Series, a program that showcases talented and acclaimed writers from diverse backgrounds whose works captivate readers. We invite you to an intriguing conversation with the esteemed spy novelist Daniel Silva.

Considered by many to be "his generation’s finest writer of international intrigue and one of the greatest American spy novelists ever," Daniel Silva is the creator of the long-running Gabriel Allon spy thriller series. His background as a journalist in Washington, D.C., and the Middle East, covering significant international events, has richly informed the settings of his Gabriel Allon adventures, which span locations from Venice to Vienna and Syria to South Africa.

His latest novel, An Inside Job, finds art restorer and occasional spy Gabriel Allon tasked with the dual challenge of recovering a lost masterpiece by Leonardo da Vinci and solving the mysterious death of a woman. The narrative unfolds at a rapid pace, moving from the galleries and auction houses of London to an enclave of unimaginable wealth on the French Riviera—culminating in a shocking climax in St. Peter’s Square.

Mr. Silva will be in conversation with his wife, the award-winning CNN Special Correspondent Jamie Gangel. Following their discussion, there will be a question-and-answer session with the audience and a book signing.
