Downtown Old Monterey's own Transformative Justice Center is holding a screening of the powerful documentary film Going Inside: Empathy in Action on Saturday, September 27 at Lighthouse Cinema and Event Center in Pacific Grove, 12:30pm-1:30pm. Doors open at 12pm. $5-$10 donation at the door.

About the Film

Going Inside: Empathy in Action is a 38 minute documentary that takes viewers behind the walls of the Correctional Training Facility (a.k.a. Soledad Prison,) offering a rare and intimate look at what happens when members from the public, volunteers, sit face-to-face with incarcerated individuals for 2 months of honest, facilitated dialogue. The film screening will be followed by a Q&A session.
