River Explorers Special Needs Field Trip
This event has already passed
River Explorers is a hands-on, outdoor program for children with special needs that brings participants down into the river to experience a riparian habitat. Students will learn about the wildlife community at the Guadalupe River and the biological adaptations of certain species. The field trip culminates in an actual river exploration, where students enter the water to get an intimate appreciation for the Guadalupe and the life it supports.
The Guadalupe River Park Conservancy staff has experience working with individuals with various cognitive and physical challenges and a follow up email will be sent to all parents to gather the details needed to provide a fantastic experience for all!
Pre-registration is required. Cost is $20 for members of Guadalupe River Park Conservancy; $25 for all others. Siblings of children with special needs are also invited to attend. Parents, please contact the education coordinator for a discount on multiple participants. For more information and to register, please click here.
