Poetry San Jose, in collaboration with David Perez, Poet Laureate of Santa Clara County, and the San Jose Museum of Art presents the 5th Annual San Jose Museum of Art Poetry Invitational. This event brings the worlds of visual art and poetry together as poets perform original works inspired by art on display at the museum. Admission is $5 per person; free for SJMA members.

This year, all poems will relate to artwork in the exhibit Initial Public Offering. Each poet will read while standing beside his or her chosen art piece. Featured poets will include: Nils Peterson, Sally Ashton, Jennifer Swanton Brown, Kimberly Escamilla, Jason Bayani, Claudia McIsaac, Jasper Haze, Evan Karp, and David Perez.
