Happy anniversary to Rosine's Restaurant in Downtown Old Monterey! Forty years ago today, on September 30, 1980, Rosine's Restaurant opened in the Del Monte Shopping Center, and six years later it was moved to its current location at 434 Alvarado Street in Downtown Old Monterey.

Montrio Bistro, located at 414 Calle Principal, has extended its fundraiser in support of the Food Bank for Monterey County. Now through December 31, 10% of all proceeds from all take-out orders made at Montrio will be donated to the food bank. (Please note: this does not apply to delivery orders.)

The Downtown Campbell Survival Project was a lot of fun and we gave away well over $1000 worth of prizes since April, but the contest was also a lot of work to manage!
