As of July 1, the City is enforcing the mandatory wearing of face coverings in business districts, both inside and outside, with a fine of $100 for the first violation. All people over the age of 12 must wear a face covering.

Residents and visitors to the business districts are also required to maintain a six foot distance from others who are not members of the same household.

Recently, Monterey County Health Department has lifted more business restrictions. We are happy to report that fitness studios, skin care spas, nail salons, wax bars, and massage therapy studios are now permitted to open for business. Likewise, hotels are able to welcome visitors for tourism.
