On The Beach Surf Shop has some recommended reading for you: "Women On Waves" by Jim Kempton and "Making Waves" by Buzzy Kerbox, both of which are now available in the shop at 693 Lighthouse Avenue.

In "Women on Waves," longtime surfing journalist Kempton covers the history of women in the sport from Hawaiian queens to world champions. In "Making Waves," Kerbox chronicles the surfing life of one of Hawaii’s big wave legends in stunning photos and insider stories.

On The Beach Surf Shop is kicking off Labor Day Weekend with a book signing party for "Women on Waves" by Jim Kempton, 5pm-7pm.

The first edition of the book is already sold out, so you can only buy it at this event until the second run comes out. Books sold tonight will be signed personally by the author and we'll have special deals in the shop.
