Well, we're back in the Red Tier again. Actually, we've been back in it for almost two weeks now.

We've been here before, but this time it's a little bit different because Santa Clara County is no longer practicing...

We have wonderful news about the end of the end of the Governor's Stay-at-Home order... or maybe it's terrible. Whatever it is, most people are confused and many are angry about its abrupt end. Let's all take a deep breath and unpack what this all means.

As you probably know, Santa Clara County's Covid-19 risk status was changed from Moderate (Orange) to Widespread (Purple) on November 16 by an order of Santa Clara County's Public Health Department. The consequences of this rapid 2 tier drop is concentrated in a few areas, but won't affect most people very much.

Santa Clara County's infection numbers as of September 22 are:

5.6 new cases/day per 100K (Unadjusted) 4.7 new cases/day per 100K (Adjusted) 2.4% positive test cases

The State of California recently released the Blueprint for a Safer Economy Covid-19 framework and as part of the revised guidelines, Downtown Campbell businesses are now allowed to offer some additional services.

California's Covid-19 re-opening guidelines for businesses have been updated and now reorganized into four risk level tiers that are expected to remain stable. Under the revised system, restrictions have been loosened to allow barber shops and hair salons to re-open with modifications.
