Why You Need To Treat Yourself To A Weekly CBD Bath

Posted on September 17th, 2024 by cloudcity

Finding time for self-care is becoming increasingly important. Bathing is one of the simplest yet most effective ways to steal a few moments for yourself. A luxurious bath allows you to unwind and hit reset on your psychological landscape. Thus, this essential act should be a staple in your self-care routine. To elevate your experience, consider tossing in a CBD bath bomb for maximum indulgence. A CBD bath works wonders for stress, muscle tension, and facilitates an environment of much-needed tranquility. If you haven’t already been exposed to this ultra-healing ritual, it’s time to change that. Allow us to introduce you to your new go-to activity for wellness and relaxation.

The benefits of a CBD bath

Cannabidiol (CBD) is a leading organic ingredient appreciated for its comprehensive therapeutic benefits. Paired with a warm bath, CBD provides relief to mental and physical distress by interacting with your body’s endocannabinoid system. One thing to keep in mind about using CBD: consistency is key. The more regularly you incorporate it into your lifestyle, the better relationship it builds with the physiological functions it impacts, such as pain sensation, stress management, and circadian support. Here’s how taking a weekly CBD bath can enhance your well-being in ways you wouldn’t expect.

Relieves stress

A CBD bath melts away your worries the moment you get in. The warm, cozy water, combined with the powerful therapeutic effects of CBD is a simple recipe for success. This elevated, spa-like experience is available to you in the comfort of your own home for a fraction of what a day at a professional spa costs. Studies show CBD reduces anxiety and plays a major role in facilitating relaxation.

Enhances mood

CBD interacts with your serotonin receptors to stabilize and improve your mood. No matter your emotional starting point, a CBD bath promotes unmatched, holistic happiness to cater to your mental well-being. One of our favorite things about taking a CBD bath is that it not only encourages relaxation for your body but rejuvenates your mind, too.

Soothes physical pain & discomfort

By now, we know that CBD works wonders for physical pain. Whether you are suffering from a brutal workout or recovering from a severe surgery, CBD’s anti-inflammatory properties...Read More

Discover Natural Pain Relief After Surgery: CBD Vs. Oxycodone

Posted on September 4th, 2024 by cloudcity

If you’ve ever had surgery, then you know the healing process can be long and painful. Even for the most minor surgery, the discomfort can be overwhelming and, at best, distracting from life as you know it. Thus, you might be eager to pop open that bottle of oxycodone your doctor prescribed. But before you do, there are some things you should know. These opioids come with several risks and side effects harmful to your health. Today, we’d like to introduce you to an alternative option for natural pain relief after surgery: cannabis extracts.

What’s wrong with taking Oxycodone?

While oxycodone is an effective tool doctors use to mitigate moderate to severe pain, it is highly addictive. What’s more, it poses serious health risks with prolonged use. This habit-forming drug, found in medications such as Oxycet, Percocet, Endocet, and Oxy-IR, works by interrupting the communication between your brain and nervous system to alter your perception of pain. Common side effects you might experience while taking oxycodone include nausea, constipation, and uncontrollable drowsiness. The more you take it, the more your body builds tolerance, which eventually leads to dependence. When you stop taking oxy, you may experience withdrawal symptoms, which can quickly push you from dependence into addiction.

What’s more, even short-term use of oxycodone can increase the risk of developing more serious health conditions like respiratory issues, liver damage, and psychological impact. Notably, this is true for all opioids- not just oxy. While other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), such as aspirin and ibuprofen, are popular aids for mild to moderate pain and don’t have an addiction liability, they still come with the same unwanted side effects and increased risk of liver damage, stomach ulcers, and internal bleeding. Given these facts, it’s no surprise that post-surgery patients are inquiring about safer alternatives. Cannabis-derived products offer a promising solution for pure, palpable pain relief that also benefits other aspects of your long-term health and well-being.

Enter: CBD, CBG, and hemp-derived THC

Cannabis has been used for centuries and is known for its medicinal properties that benefit both physical and mental health. Yet, not all cannabis strains are created equal. At Cloud City, we typically recommend products that contain CBD, CBG, and hemp-derived THC for customers battling acute pain. Understanding the difference between these star compounds is critical to deciding the best fit for your needs. Here’s a brief overview to get you started.

Cannabidiol (CBD)

CBD is the most prevalent non-psychoactive compound found in the cannabis plant. In recent decades, it has garnered quite a reputation in the health and wellness space for its pain-relieving and anti-...Read More
