Boardwalk Sub Shop Now Open on Alvarado Street

Posted on September 22nd, 2015 by omba

The Old Monterey Business Association is happy to announce that Boardwalk Sub Shop is now open at 470 Alvarado Street! Although Terry Teplitzky has called Monterey home for 35 years, he and his brothers, Howard and JT, grew up in the hotel and restaurant business in Atlantic City and never forgot the cuisine they grew up with. They're excited to share it with you at Boardwalk Sub Shop, serving a variety of subs, calzones, and salads.

Ask anyone on the east coast and they'll tell you the key to a good sub is “in the bread.” The brothers have spent the last few months working with a local bread company to come up with the perfect recipe comparable to the east coast roll. Each sub is made with the freshest, local ingredients and prepared right in front of you.

TBT: A few weeks ago we put up a photo of a restaurant that was in Downtown Campbell in 2004 for our Throwback Thursday post on Facebook and let people guess what the restaurant was. We got several correct answers but didn't follow through on the rest of the photo set.

Well, we're finally getting around to that. Here they are a few weeks late.

How many of you out there remember Shebele Eithiopean Cuisine?
