Great news, everyone! Latin Dance Nights have returned to American Burger at 738 Lighthouse Avenue in Monterey. Doors open at 9pm, when we'll begin with a dance lesson. All levels of dancers are welcome. Face masks are recommended.

YAC Mentors in the show include Marcia Perry, Meg Biddle, Andrew Jackson, Germain Hatcher, Chloe Wilson, Paul Richmond, Renata Abma, and Peggy Alonas. Pieces are available for sale - please contact the artists directly via their websites (links are in the online gallery).

YAC is a community-based nonprofit organization that provides mentoring and creative sanctuary for Monterey County youth to explore their potential as artists while developing personal awareness, social understanding, and an appreciation for contributing in positive ways to their community. Venture Gallery presents athe work of Susann Cate Lynn, our featured artist for July, with an exhibit entitled Isolation Inspiration: Paintings from My Imaginative World. Traveling through her memory during her time of isolation in the pandemic, Susann allowed her imagination to create scenes anew with a fresh sense of possibility.

The Monterey County Film Commission, located in the Lighthouse District, is pleased to announce that Eliette Singleton has been selected as winner of the $2000 Monterey County Film Commission's Director Emeritus Richard Tyler Film Student Scholarship Award. Volunteer for Del Monte Beach Cleanup

On Monday, July 5, 10am-12pm, join Blue Zones Project Monterey County, City of Monterey Parks Division, and Sustainable Monterey as we help one of our local beaches recover from the holiday weekend.

At 10am you'll find us at Monterey Bay Park (717 Del Monte Ave) with buckets and trash pickers in hand. Bring your enthusiasm - we'll provide everything else. All ages are welcome! Please register online in advance so we know to expect you.
