Help stop the spread of Covid-19! When you wear a face mask, you're a hero to the hard-working owners and employees of small businesses in Downtown Old Monterey, keeping them and their families safe.

It's the law, pardner: everyone over the age of 12 is required to wear a face covering over the nose and mouth when indoors and outdoors in Monterey's business districts (except when dining at a table). Fines from code enforcement officers begin at $100.

Plant sales have returned to Cooper Molera Adobe! Once again, you can purchase plants that have been hand propagated from our gardens. Just visit the Cooper Molera Museum entrance Wednesday - Sunday, 10am-4pm at 506 Munras Avenue in Downtown Old Monterey.

One gallon pots cost $10; five gallon pots cost $25. Payments must be made by by cash or check - all proceeds benefit Cooper Molera. Masks and social distancing required.

The Campbell Recreation & Community Services Department is seeking motivated, energetic, team-oriented individuals who enjoy working with children and teens for the Campbell Day Camp! Specific responsibilities include planning, conducting and supervising children ages 3 to 12 in structured activities such as games, camp songs, arts & crafts in a park setting.

Monterey Recreation has partnered with the Alliance on Aging to offer coronavirus-safe tax preparation for seniors at the Scholze Park Community Center. This service is available by appointment only beginning in February 2021. Assistance is free and available in English and Spanish.

Interested seniors should call the Alliance on Aging at 831-655-1334 or visit this page to request an appointment to drop off their tax paperwork at the curb. When they arrive for their first appointment, an Alliance on Aging tax preparer will meet them at their vehicle to get their tax paperwork in order to prepare their taxes. A second Alliance on Aging tax preparer will then verify the taxes and the senior can return for a second appointment to pick up their prepared tax returns at the curb.

Scholze Park Community Center is located at 280 Dickman Avenue in Monterey. Please note that strict Covid-19 protocols will be followed and the Alliance on Aging tax preparers will not be sharing work space.

The COVID-19 pandemic and public health orders have resulted in challenging times for Campbell businesses. In support of Campbell’s business community, the City of Campbell invites you to get your passport to Campbell. A passport is your ticket to shopping and winning in Campbell!

Participating is easy, spend at least $20.00 (tax included) at 12 different Campbell businesses for a chance to enter a drawing for a prize from a Campbell business valued at $150.00. Random drawings occur Fridays on a bi-weekly basis beginning February 12. Participants must be 18 or older and City of Campbell employees are not eligible. Retain your receipts and email proof of purchase along with your passport card to contests@campbellca.gov.
