It is with a great deal of excitement that Paper Wing Theatre Company announces that we're expanding our business! This means twice the shows, musicals, comedies, tributes, original productions, and rock events than before. We'll be taking over the former Stardust Playhouse space on North Fremont in Monterey, as well as maintaining our current theatre at the corner of Hoffman and Lighthouse Avenue in New Monterey.

This new space on Fremont will also be used for the newly formed non-profit Recovery Theatre, Inc., which will work with the recovery community to create a place for acting, singing, dancing, and theatrical arts.

Being an independent theatre, we rely solely on ticket sales and donations from people like you. We strive to bring you the best plays from Broadway, works from local playwrights, modernized classics, edgy and thought provoking pieces, and our own favorites such as semi-annual presentations of works like "Avenue Q" and "The Rocky Horror Show". But this takes your support!

Would you consider supporting our latest fundraising drive? We welcome any amount of support. Every bit you donate goes right back into maintaining and creating our theatre. We strive to continue to bring community theatre to the entire community of Monterey County. With your help, we can do it!

Please click here to make your donation online, or you may make checks payable to The Paper Wing Theatre Company and mail them to us at 320 Hoffman Avenue, Monterey, CA 93940. You may also donate via credit card by calling 831-905-5684 and completing your transaction with a live person. Thank you for your generous support!

Henry's BBQ Restaurant (401 Lighthouse Ave) is pleased to announce we've been voted Best BBQ Restaurant 2013 by readers of the Carmel Pine Cone! This is our fourth consecutive award - we're proud to have been the winner of this category since 2010.

The Carmel Pine Cone writes: "Henry’s stands as one of the few true barbecue joints left standing on the Peninsula. Locals love the mounded plates of tender, juicy, flavorful meats, including ribs, tri-tip, chicken, pulled pork or pork loin."

Please Donate to the Carol of Lights!

Posted on November 14th, 2013 by Downtown Campbell

The Carol of Lights, a Campbell tradition, is a festive, spirited, and free event for all ages! Last year, bad weather forced The Carol of Lights to take a year off, but the holiday celebration that you know and love will be back in Downtown Campbell on Saturday, December 7, 4pm-8pm.

But we need your financial help! The Carol of Lights does not receive any public funding and relies on private donations for its operations. Money is tight this year, and your donation, no matter how small, can make a difference in how many fun activities we can provide. Please help by clicking here and contributing $10, $30, or whatever you can afford to keep this cherished display of community spirit going strong.

Bright Coffee, located inside Lilify at 281 Lighthouse Avenue, has recently introduced a range of Maya teas for you to enjoy in the cold weather. We now offer chai lattes, featuring Maya Chai Devi and Maya Chai Original flavors, as well as Large Leaf Masala Chai Tea which, with its Assam leaves blended with cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, cloves, and a hint of anise and vanilla, tastes remarkably close to authentic chai.

Looking for something without caffeine? We also sell cups of Maya's Vanilla Spice Herbal Tea, with warming cinnamon, ginger, and fennel blended with a touch of vanilla. It's just right for the winter holidays.

Bright Coffee is open Monday-Saturday, 6am-2pm, and Sunday, 8am-1pm. Stop by for a warming cup of tea or a coffee made from beans we roasted ourselves!
