Joining our Appetizers Menu is the brand new Mole Trio: mole conloradito, mole negro, and mole estofado, served with white rice and tortillas. The new year brings several enticing changes for Esteban Restaurant. First, a classic Mediterranean pergola is the latest addition to the restaurant's recently renovated patio. Second, Executive Chef Ben Hillan is presenting new tapas and dinner entrees to celebrate the arrival of winter.
The pergola's elegant yet robust 12' vertical columns and clean lines are a stunning focal point for the patio. At the same time, its 18' x 32' footprint creates a private haven for several tables and seating for up to 26 people. With ambient lighting, a retractable roof, and eight heaters, the pergola is a perfect dining option to stay cozy all year long.

Congratulations to Alyssa Bellamy, Bamboo Reef Dive Shop's Director of Training, who has been elected to the board of the National Association of Underwater Instructors (NAUI).
Alyssa is a Monterey local who will be representing the West Coast and California Diving with NAUI, working on updates to diving standards and new and improved training. In 2021, Alyssa received the NAUI Next Generation Leadership Award.

The Monterey County Film Commission, located in the Lighthouse District, is pleased to announce that Jasmyn Ramirez has been selected as winner of the $2000 Monterey County Film Commission's Director Emeritus Richard Tyler Film Student Scholarship Awards. In addition, Spencer Garcia has been selected as the recipient of a $750 runner-up award.
The scholarship will be used to help fund the CSUMB students’ future Capstone film productions, expected to be screened at CSUMB in 2024. Ramirez’s project is When You Hear Hoofbeats, helping to shine a spotlight on rare cancers to broaden awareness.
