Nancy Olaeta has been painting seriously for more than 20 years. Spring is her favorite time of year with its abundance of wildflowers to render in oils. Nancy also practices glass fusing, or art made with kiln formed glass. The craggy cypress trees here on the Monterey Peninsula are a favorite subject, as are koi and jellyfish.

Stokes Adobe invites you to stop by and try one of our favorite house cocktails, the Hattie’s Old Fashioned, containing Elijah Craig small batch bourbon, demerara syrup, apricot bitters, and citrus essence.

The drink pays homage to socialite Hattie Gragg, who lived in Stokes Adobe from the late 1800s until the mid-1900s. Hattie hosted many social events and parties at the adobe and was well known for her love of entertaining.
