Starting six months before the 2016 presidential election, director Jim Stern put his life on hold and traveled through red states to interview and spend time with Donald Trump supporters from different backgrounds. It was a search for insights and answers, for anything that could explain the billionaire's surging appeal. The film he returned with sheds unique light on difficult issues roiling the nation -- chronicling a cultural divide, still dangerously misunderstood, that continues to tear at the fabric of our democracy. Watch the trailer.

Do You Know This Handsy Person?

Posted on October 4th, 2018 by Downtown Campbell

Does anyone recognize this handsy person? He's wanted for jewelry theft totalling several thousand dollars from one of our shops. Here's a short surveilance video of the theft happening.

If you know this person or have information that might help the Campbell Police find him, please call the Campbell Police Investigation Unit at 408-871-5190.

You've probably noticed scooters like these scattered around Downtown Campbell lately. The Campbell City Council has not made a decision one way or another on what to do about them, but is expected to do so within a month from now. In the meantime, they're being conditionally allowed if you follow some rules.

The following list is not comprehensive so there may be other things you need to do to keep you and the scooter you're riding in good standing.

  • You must have a drivers license to ride them.
  • Do not ride on the sidewalk.
  • Follow all traffic rules when riding (obey stop signs).
  • No parking directly in front of buildings or walkways.

From what I've heard, the Campbell PD has been lenient so far, but breaking any of these rules could result in a ticket and a significant fine.

Dairy Busey Chocolate Milk Stout has returned to the beer menu at Fieldwork Brewing Co. Come and try it at our Monterey beer garden located at 520 Munras Ave.

How do we make Dairy Busey? Take the recipe from our favorite stout we ever brewed and that nobody bought. Brew said beer and throw in some adjuncts, let's go with chocolate and vanilla. Does it smell like a glass of chocolate milk yet? Then add more. Oh... and add lactose - milk sugar is so hot right now. Next, throw it off balance a bit, drop the bitterness, and build up a huge thick body so it has the mouthfeel of heavy cream. Carbonate it just enough that it will be recognizable as beer, but not so much it disturbs the slightly visible sheen from the cocoa fats. Lastly, give it a kitschy name, ideally a stupid milk-related pun; the worse the better. Et Voilà! Dairy Busey Chocolate Milk Stout.
