Cat's Meow in "Big Little Lies"

Paper Wing Theatre Company, located at 320 Hoffman Avenue in Monterey, is now accepting submissions for its 5th Annual Play Reading Series to be held in September 2018. Deadline for submission is June 15, 2018.

All subjects and genres will be considered, with the twin goals of encouraging California playwrights in their craft and in selecting at least one title for production at the theatre during its 2019 season. After a reading committee selects from the entries, directors and actors will gather for a single rehearsal of each work, and the plays will be presented seated before the audience, followed by feedback and discussion with the authors.

Rules regarding play submission:

1) Plays must be full-length and presents in standard play format as a PDF.

2) Plays must not have been produced or published prior to submission. (Previous readings are o.k.

3) Resubmissions are acceptable if significant changes have been made to the script

4) Playwrights must live in California and put their name and contact information on the cover page only, and a list of characters must be provided.

5) Authors must be in attendance for the reading.
