Christmas in the Adobes is Monterey's signature holiday event, held this year on December 11 & 12, 5pm-9pm. Hundreds of people attend each year to stroll the streets of Monterey and stop in at any one of 22 decorated adobes with soft holiday lights, entertainment, and Christmas refreshments.

The event supports Monterey State Historic Park children's educational programs. Tickets are $25 per night for adults, $2 for children ages 6-17, and free for children age 5 and under. Discounts for active military and for groups of 12 or more are available. Advance tickets may be purchased online or in person at the Cooper Museum Store (525 Polk St. at Alvarado). Tickets may be purchased on the day of the event at Pacific House in Custom House Plaza after 3pm.

Event-goers will receive a parking pass for most streets and all garages, an event program that describes each venue, and a map to assist in plotting your course.
