Monterey Space Program presents an evening of live music at East Village Coffee House featuring Darin Edu, Cowboy Starr Project, and Kenny Chung on Friday, July 8 at 7:30pm. All ages show.

Darin Edu's songs can best be described as pop rock, where the focus is more on the vocals and lyrics fused with acoustic guitars, melodic base riffs, and clever percussion parts.

Cowboy Starr Project, consisting of Monterey's own Christopher Brian Van Heerdt and a varying cast of musicians, performs alternative American indie rock.

Kenny Chung is a traveler first, a writer second, and wherever appropriate, music fills in the voids and cracks. Inspired by songwriters such as Jackie Greene, Shakey Graves, and Ryan Adams, he plays with an intricate finger picking style that creates a sonic marriage of bass and melody, and sings with the highs and lows of the dynamic tides written within his songs.
