Food, Art and Plant Fair at Joseph Boston Store

This event has already passed

The Historic Garden League of Monterey invites everyone to join us for a Food, Art, and Plant Fair on Sunday, May 5, 3:45pm-5pm outside the Joseph Boston Store. We'll have pop-up tastings, art demonstrations, a plant sale, and tours of Casa del Oro Garden and the Joseph Boston Store (Monterey's first general store).

Pop-up tastings will feature elderberry products from Carmel Berry Co., elderberry teas from Eddison and Melrose, handcrafted elderberry salt from Big Sur Salts, olives and tapenade from Gil's Gourmet, olive oils and vinegars from Monterey's Tasty Olive Bar, jams and honey from Happy Girl Kitchen, and bitters from The Bitter Ginger.

View the amazing work of Linda Yamane, who creates Rumsen Ohlone baskets and instruments using elderberry branches. Plus we'll have an art workshop by the artist behind Little Herb Girl of Monterey, who will be demonstrating how she makes her fine art wood ornaments. (And you can make your own!)

Find a new plant for your garden! The Historic Garden League will be offering numerous plants propagated by its skilled volunteers.

Interested in learning about elderberries? Attend our free lecture, Elderberries: Yesterday and Today, on May 5 at 3pm in the Memory Garden of Pacific House. Advance registration required.
