Monterey Bay Poetry Consortium: Readings by Laura Bayless and Maggie Paul

On the second Sunday of each month, come to Old Capitol Books to see the poets of the Monterey Bay Poetry Consortium. This afternoon's featured poets are Laura Bayless and Maggie Paul, who will read from their work. There is a suggested donation of $5.
Laura Bayless has published poems in local and national publications and anthologies. Her most recent book is Chairs in the River (FutureCycle Press). She is co-editor of an award-winning compilation of stories and poems about the Carmel River – Passion for Place. In addition to writing poetry, Laura explores creativity through collage, photography, and absurdity. Formerly shy, she now delights in requests to read her poems to strangers.
Maggie Paul is the author of Borrowed World, a collection of poems published by Hummingbird Press, and the chapbook, Stones from the Baskets of Others (Black Dirt Press) and her work has appeared in numerous publications. She also writes book reviews, interviews, poetry, and essays. An editor and educational consultant, Maggie is working on her second collection of poems for Hummingbird Press. She lives in Santa Cruz.
