Monterey Museum of Art invites you to join us for a celebration of the remarkable contemporary California artist Tsherin Sherpa on Saturday, September 9, 3pm-5pm at Irvine Auditorium on the campus of Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey. His work is on exhibit at MMA September 7 - November 26, 2023.

The evening will begin with a screening of the 35-minute documentary, Above and Below, and continue with a conversation with artist Tsherin Sherpa, film director Sheri Brenner, and MMA Executive Director Corey Madden. We'll end with a signing by Tsherin Sherpa of his book, Spirits.

Tsherin Sherpa, who splits his time between Nepal and California, captivates and inspire audiences worldwide, bridging cultural divides and igniting conversations about tradition, spirituality, and contemporary artistic practice.
