About the Event
Welcome to Baroque and Unknown: Night Three - Where Are Our Local Composers? Tonight, we'll explore how Baroque music varied by region and what one local composer is doing now.
Performances by Stephanie Valadez and The Mecate Ensemble will highlight the music of Italian composer Isabella Leonarda (1620-1704), English composer Lady Mary Dering (1629-1704), and Mexican composer Sor La Juana Inez De La Cruz (1651-1695), as well as a new piece by our speaker, Stephanie Valadez. Plus, enjoy paired food and beverage tastings from Uncle Nearest and Chic Charcuterique.
