About Marc Cotterell

Born in Britain and now living in the States, Marc Cotterell has been playing vinyl since ’93 and is the owner of Plastik People Recordings. As a DJ, Marc’s sound is a journey to the depths of US and UK house and garage music. Marc’s knowledge of his sound is contained in the vast amount of vinyl he collects and the rare hidden gems he showcases at his Plastik People events and gigs across the globe.

A first-of-a-kind micro-club, Compact Disco has booked over 200 internationally known DJs since its opening in July of 2023, putting Monterey on the map as a burgeoning hot spot. The club is dedicated to preserving the rich history of Disco and House Music.
