Join us at Casa Serrano for a discussion of the rich and colorful history of Stokes Adobe. On Monday, September 8, 7pm-8pm, the Native Daughters of the Golden West hosts a lecture by Amelia Ward entitled "Stokes Adobe: A Monterey Landmark's Storied Past."

About Amelia Ward

Amelia Ward, a native of the Monterey Peninsula, is a writer, editor, and amateur historian whose interest lies in the stories of the individuals who helped shape the artistic communities of the Monterey Peninsula and the San Francisco Bay Area. She is the editor of Carmel Magazine and is currently coauthoring a book on the artists and architecture of Old Monterey with her husband, artist and gallerist Joaquin Turner, and Professor Emeritus Cynthia Wagner-Weick.
