12th Annual Teal Run 5K

Sunday, September 20, 2026 - 7:30am

The Teal Run is a day of hope, love and support for women and families affected by ovarian cancer. It is more than just a race, it’s a celebration of resilience and the power of community.

This annual event to raise money for ovarian cancer research and support includes a 5K run/walk with awards to the top 3 finishers of the 5K.

About the Teal Run

The Teal Foundation was started in 2015 by Laurie DeSimone and a group of select volunteers. Laurie wanted to promote a sense of community for ovarian cancer survivors, family and friends while also coming together to fund raise for research with the ultimate goal of finding a cure. Sadly Laurie passed away shortly after the inaugural run but her efforts continue through the work of The Teal Foundation.

The Teal Run has remained the only Bay Area running event dedicated to ovarian cancer awareness and support. Over 4,500 participants have united to raise over $730,000 for our event as well as ovarian cancer research and support services.

The Course

The course loops around the Los Gatos Creek Trail, finishing just after the Campbell Bridge. It is paved and mostly flat with gentle inclines only. This is a great course for beginners.

Race Registration

Pre-registration race entry fees are $60 for adults and teens and $35 for children. Race day registration begins at 7:30am. The entry fee covers the event costs. If you have the ability, an upgraded ticket or donation are add-on options that will help them raise funds.
