Celebrate PARK(ing) Day at Parklets in Old Monterey

The City of Monterey invites you to celebrate PARK(ing) Day, transforming parking spaces into temporary parks on Alvarado Street between Pearl and Franklin. These miniature "parklets" will feature green spaces, outdoor seating, and fun and educational booths.

11am-2pm, visitors can enjoy a takeout lunch, or have coffee and donuts with a police officer. Get gardening tips from Parks staff or meet your local Fire Dept. personnel. Monterey Recreation and the Sports Center will be on hand to provide fun games and activities and share information on upcoming programs.
