Monterey's annual 4th of July Parade is a must-attend celebration that draws approximately 15,000 people to line the streets in and around Old Monterey. Come revel in the festive floats, patriotic displays, entertaining costumes, and musical bands!

The free Big Little Backyard Bar-B-Que and Entertainment Extravaganza will be held on the historic grounds of Colton Hall, 11am-4:30pm. Featuring live music, carnival booths and games for children, and food for sale by non-profit vendors, this is all-ages fun.

Monterey State Historic Park Association presents July 4th Living History Day in the Memory Garden, located behind Pacific House Museum at Custom House Plaza. The whole family can enjoy historic demonstrations and participate in 19th century games, rope-making, leather craft, blacksmithing, military drills, cooking, dancing, and more, 11am-3pm.

Monterey County Pops!, a 40-piece professional orchestra, presents a free Independence Day concert at Golden State Theatre featuring favorite American popular and patriotic tunes. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis, with doors opening at 6pm.

Dance salsa at American Burger on Thursdays at 9pm! The session begins with a dance lesson. Fee is $5. All levels of dancers are welcome.
