Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Academy

CERT (Community Emergency Response Training) training academies are offered to the community. Some of the skills taught include personal preparedness, organizing resources, basic medical operations, basic search and rescue, how to use a fire extinguisher and basic damage assessment.

Lower Presidio Historic Park Walking Tour: Focus on Indigenous Tribes

On the third Saturday of every month at 10am, Monterey Bay historian and author Tim Thomas offers a two-hour Lower Presidio Historic Park Walking Tour. Today's tour will focus on indigenous tribes. Tours meet in front of the Presidio of Monterey Museum. Reservations required. $20 for adults, $15 for kids (age 10-15).
