Monterey's annual 4th of July Parade is a must-attend celebration that draws approximately 20,000 people of all ages to line the streets in and around Old Monterey. We invite you to join us and revel in the festive floats, patriotic displays, entertaining costumes, and musical bands, including the 130-member Impulse Drum & Bugle Corps. The parade begins at 10am sharp.
The Monterey 4th of July Parade will be live streamed by KSBW Action News 8 and also carried on C-SPAN as part of the nationwide America 250 celebrations!
Attending the parade in person would be the best way to watch the parade, but if you can't be here with us, you can follow along online starting at 10AM PDT by tuning into the KSBW live stream on YouTube or watch it on C-SPAN .
Stars, Stripes, and Stories was a family friendly event that invited families to enjoy games in the garden at the Cooper-Molera Adobe, take self guided tours of the historic adobe, and enjoy cultural demonstrations in the Barns with Folklorico and Flamenco dance performances.Read more

Colton Hall Museum presents Old Flags of Monterey, an exhibit featuring a variety of historic and replica flags. The Museum will be open on July 4, 10am-4pm. Free admission.
Included in this exhibit are several original flags, dating from the 19th century, that are seldom on public display.
Cooper-Molera Adobe - A Historic Site of the National Trust for Historic Preservation

Join us at the Monterey Firefighters Charity Pancake Breakfast benefiting MY Museum on July 4, 7:30am-10:30am! There will be activities for the kids, music, a fire truck tour, a chance to meet your local firefighters, and a hearty breakfast with all the fixings. Reservations required.
The City of Monterey's Big 4th of July Celebration and Backyard Food Fest will be held on the historic grounds of Colton Hall, 10:45am-4:30pm. Featuring live music and food for sale, this is a free event!
