Lighthouse Movie in the Park: "North Shore"
This event has already passed
The Lighthouse District is hosting a free outdoor screening of the surfing film, North Shore (1987). This cult classic is unmistakably 80's with one-liners so bad they're good and is revered for surf cinematography that was top notch for its time. It also features numerous cameo appearances by actual pro surfing legends.
You don't have to be into surfing to enjoy the experience. Movies in the Park is a cinematic evening under the stars that's fun for the whole family.
The film will be shown outdoors at Scholze Park, located at the corner of Lighthouse Ave and Dickman Ave in front of the Scholze Park Community Center. It will begin at 7:30pm, but you are welcome to come early and bring a picnic. (We recommend getting take-out from one of Lighthouse Avenue's wonderful restaurants!)
Remember to dress warmly and bring blankets and/or chairs. Please do not bring pets or alcohol. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
