Union Yoga, located at 244 Pearl Street in Monterey, is pleased to introduce yoga instructor Gennica Chochran, who teaches our Vinyasa Level 2-3 Class on Tuesdays at 7am and our Vinyasa Level 1-2 Class on Saturdays at 8am. Gennica teaches a great Vinyasa class with excellent queuing and intention that's still playful. Drop-in students are welcome!

Gennica Cochran is a 500+ hour certified yoga teacher. She began her teaching journey after attending Mount Madonna School of Yoga in 2010, where she was inspired by the teachings of Baba Hari Dass to live a life dedicated to service, compassion, and grace. She has training in Restorative, Pre-Natal, Classical Ashtanga (Raja) Yoga, and is currently a student of the Jason Crandell Power + Precision + Mindfulness method.

Gennica’s classes encourage students to explore their practice with intention, focus, and humility by combining breath awareness and skillful movement while also drawing on her love of the earth and cosmos. Each class features threads of inspiration cultivated by the wisdom of the seasons and cycles of the moon, creating a greater understanding of the truth of who we are: powerful, connected, intuitive beings.
