About the Exhibit

Evelyn Klein has made a lifelong commitment to bridging boundaries between varied printmaking techniques and painting processes. Working with these two disciplines, she creates stunning images, marrying the two artistic approaches. The result is a rich, deep, and nuanced body of work.

To intergrate source material from prints, sketches, works on paper, and photographs, Klein uses encaustic monotype, pigment sticks, drawing oils, pastels, and collage. The work is then laminated onto wood panel, canvas, or paper, using oil and wax glazes to add further depth and luminosity to the image.
