On Friday, September 11, 2026, the City Manager Dante Hall and City of Monterey Councilmember Dr. Kim Barber led the Lighthouse District Business Walk. The walk was an opportunity to discuss community initiatives, infrastructure projects and repairs, and connect with residents and business owners.

Along the walk, the group met with Oystertown's owners, received a tour of the restaurant (open Mon-Sat, 4:30pm-9pm), and discussed the new O-Town Espresso Bar (open Mon-Sat, 8am-1pm).
