The City of Monterey has announced a temporary change to payment options at City parking meters beginning October 1, 2026.

The City's parking meter vendor, POM, will cease operations effective October 1. As a result, credit card payments at City parking meters will be temporarily unavailable. Customers can continue to pay for parking using coins and the ParkMobile app.

The City is working to restore all current payment options as soon as possible. In the meantime, customers are encouraged to download the ParkMobile app and set up their account as an alternative way to pay.
