On Wednesday, April 11, 6pm-7pm, Anne Campbell will address An Eye on Mandela: Revisiting Education as a Weapon for Societal Growth in the McGowan Building, Room 102. Anne Campbell is Assistant Professor of International Education Management at MIIS. Dr. Campbell’s interests include the relationship between higher education and international development/social change, with a focus on international scholarship and fellowship programs. Her work concentrates on three main areas: university teaching, research, and program consultancies.
Some of Dr. Campbell's recent accomplishments include teaching over 300 international scholarship grantees in civil society project development through the Open Society Foundations' Pre-Academic Summer School and leading international research teams to conduct program evaluation of a youth skills training program in rural Tanzania through the Learn, Earn, and Save Partnership between The MasterCard Foundation and the University of Minnesota. In addition, she also received the U.S. Department of State/IREX Individual Advanced Research Opportunities Award to support doctoral research in the Republics of Georgia and Moldova.
