MIIS hosts a screening of the documentary film Healing Justice along with a dialogue with the filmmaker, Dr. Shakti Butler, on Thursday, March 29, 6:30pm-9:30pm in Irvine Auditorium in the McCone Building.

Dr. Shakti Butler's newest film, Healing Justice, explores the causes and consequences of the current American justice system and its effect on marginalized communities. This powerful documentary addresses the school-to-prison pipeline, the need for comprehensive criminal justice reform and the importance of healing and restorative practices. Designed for dialogue, Healing Justice is meant to prompt questions and open conversations, exploring trauma, justice, and healing.
