Monterey County Pops! a 40-piece professional orchestra, presents a free Independence Day concert on Wednesday, July 4 at 7pm at Golden State Theatre featuring favorite American popular and patriotic tunes. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis, with doors opening at 6pm.

In addition to the orchestra playing patriotic favorites and "pops" classics conducted by Dr. Carl Christensen, the 90-minute program will feature world-renowned guest conductor Paul Goodwin, the Monterey County Pops!/Palenke Arts Youth Chorus, cello soloists from Youth Music Monterey, and violin and viola soloists from the Youth Orchestra of Salinas.
