At this talk at The Dali Expo on Saturday, September 21, 1pm-3pm, artist Maria Poroy will demonstrate what materials she uses for the special effects in her paintings, then show them in the completed paintings in her exhibit at the museum.

Visitors will also be able to see all the stunning Dali art during their visit. Event fee is $10, and supports The Dali Expo's local artist projects.

Maria Poroy writes: "As an artist my job is to create beautiful images that create emotion. While I start with reality, I feel there are wonderful photographers who can capture that for you and that is not my job: I capture the essence of my subject and intensify it. People call me an Abstract Expressionist. Color is my language and I am drawn to subjects that resonate with me whether it be a barn or a flower."
