Bon Ton L'Roy's Lighthouse Smokehouse presents an evening of live music celebrating rock and roll legend Ritchie Valens with a tribute show by his youngest brother, Watsonville's Mario Valens, joined by local legend Alligator on Saturday, May 13 at 7pm. No cover charge.

Ritchie’s fire and drive fueled a passion for music in his brother Mario, who plays harmonica and sings in his own group, Backyard Blues Band. Over the years, the band has shared the stage with such greats as Los Lobos, Los Lonely Boys, John Lee Hooker, George Thorogood, Blue Oyster Cult, and many more. Now, with his family’s encouragement, Mario regularly performs Ritchie’s songs at his concerts.
