Celebrate the City of Monterey’s 253rd birthday with a very special barbecue buffet extravaganza, entertainment by Mike Marotta, Jr. and special guests, mariachi music, folklorico dancers, and a festive “Californio” party in the historic Memory Garden at Custom House Plaza. Tickets are $100 for MHAA member, $125 for all others. Purchase your tickets by May 27.

This special community event celebrates the founding of the City of Monterey in June 1770 when Father Junipero Serra and Captain Gaspar de Portola celebrated with a picnic overlooking the Monterey Bay. All guests are welcome to dress in early California attire.

All proceeds above the cost of the celebration iteself will go to Monterey History and Art Association, a 501c3 non-profit organization to support and maintain Casa Serrano, the Doud House, the Mayo Hayes O’Donnell Library, and the Stanton Center.
