Since its founding in 2017, Monterey Peninsula Pride has created space to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community and facilitate collective healing through the annual Out and Proud Celebration and Parade. The organization is 100% volunteer led and works to unify diverse sectors of the community including LGBTQ+ organizations, elected officials, healthcare providers, mental health advocates, educators, artist collectives, local businesses, and religious congregations.
