The recital will include two of Liszt’s transcriptions of Schubert songs, the Beethoven Waldstein sonata, Rachmaninov's second sonata, and a collection of works by Russian composers including Cui, Liapanov, Tchaikovsky, Scriabin, and Prokofiev.

About Frank Wiens

Frank Wiens is a pianist known for his strong emotional commitment and virtuosity. His meticulous attention to detail and seemingly effortless control bring out even the most subtle musical elements.

His performing career has taken him to Eastern and Western Europe, Asia, and throughout the United States, and he has been a frequent soloist with symphony orchestras in the U.S. and abroad. He was Professor of Piano at the University of the Pacific for over 40 years.
