About the Workshop

In this class you'll learn to wrap a core with fabrics, yarn, string and every other long skinny thing you can think of, coiling it all into a gorgeous vessel, with colors, materials and embellishments that will take it far beyond an ordinary basket.

Along with learning new skills, you'll also bring out your own personal aesthetic, creating a basket that is unique to you. Vicki provides you with lots of group instruction as well as plenty of one-on-one time to support your experimentation and deep connection to your own process and outcome.

About Vicki Assegued

Vicki Assegued is a fiber artist and instructor who is always finding new and unique ways to work with textiles and fibers. Through her creative process, she explores many ways to weave, layer, collage, attach, coil, tie, knot, twist, build, and develop her pieces so they're vibrant and engaging. Vicki supports and inspires her students to fully engage in their own creative process of discovery and expression.
