The Longest Night Run/Walk, on Thursday, Dec. 21, 6pm-7:30pm, is a community event in which we come together to support and show solidarity to one another through times of grief, loss, waiting, and challenge. There is a suggested donation of $10, but no mandated fee. Please register here .

The Lighthouse District invites the community to come together to support Kim Lawson, the sole owner and operator of Fashion Trade Boutique at 554 Lighthouse Avenue.

Kim recently had open heart surgery after having several heart attacks attributed to a rare heart condition. We encourage you to contribute whatever you can to Kim's GoFundMe campaign . Every donation makes a difference to Kim while she recovers at home under doctor's orders and attempts to keep her little boutique afloat during that time.

After 75 years, the historic Western Flyer - the sardine fishing boat immortalized by John Steinbeck's 1951 classic book, The Log from the Sea of Cortez - will return to her home port of Monterey. Join the free celebration at the end of Old Fisherman's Wharf (California Dock) on Saturday, November 4, 11am-4pm.

Festivities will include a boat parade, tours of the docked Western Flyer , live music, a prize drawing, art and science activities, giveaways, and more. All are welcome!

Movie in the Park 2023 Photos Now Online

The Lighthouse District's annual Movie in the Park on Sept. 16, a screening of the surf classic "North Shore," drew a wonderful crowd of people of all ages and had a great community atmosphere. A fun time was had by all! See the photos here.

We want to thank everyone who joined us for a movie night under the stars and helped make it such a good time. Thanks also to our stalwart volunteers who set up and took down the equipment and the 13 businesses along Lighthouse Avenue in Monterey who sponsored the event to keep it free for the community.
