Atomic 1800 is keeping it sassy with Valley High women's clothing, now available at our shop at 800 Lighthouse Ave in Monterey. The ultimate cool-girl, lifestyle brand straight out of Southern California, Valley High offers everything from boyfriend-fit crewnecks to bodycon dresses because no girl wears the same thing every day! Every piece is developed and designed by co-founders Chanelle Laurence and Christian Ojeda, presenting original prints and cut-and-sew pieces each season all made in Los Angeles. Thanks to photographer Randy Basso for the accompanying image.

Current Comics is excited to announce that Secret Empire, Marvel's big comics event for the year, is almost here! A nine-issue story, it's the culmination of Steve Rogers's (Captain America's) secret activities for Hydra, and his revelation of such to the superhero community. Issue #0 hits the shelves on April 19, 2017. The series is written by Nick Spencer with art by Daniel Acuna and Rod Reis and cover art by Mark Brooks. We'll have it in our store at 400 Lighthouse Avenue in Monterey - don't miss it!

Om Studios in Monterey is adding new evening classes beginning April 3, 2017. On Monday, we'll be offering Gentle Beginners Yoga at 5:30pm followed by Yoga Flow at 6:45pm. On Wednesday, we're offering Heated Alignment Vinyasa at 5:30pm followed by Mellow Flow at 6:45pm. Visit our studio at 631 Cass Street in Old Monterey, or give us a call at 831-204-7949.

If you're an artist or a maker, we want you to join us and help us turn the streets of Downtown Campbell into a vibrant little art and a crafts mart during our monthly Second Saturdays event.

Second Saturdays is our monthly Artwalk and street music event that happens on (wait for it)... the second Saturday of each month. It's been on holiday for the opening months of the year, but we've got our first one of 2017 scheduled for Saturday, April 8th.

A lot of our old favorites will be rejoining us for 2017, but we'd love to give more artists and makers the opportunity to be a part of our once-a-month craft community. There's no charge to participate, but there are some requirements that you have to meet to come exhibit at Second Saturdays.

Let's get you started! Please see this page for more information:

Our lovely model, Britt, couldn't wait to put on Sahara Sun Tanning's new Articles of Society jeans, now sold in our boutique! Visit us at 585 Lighthouse Avenue in Monterey and check out all the Articles of Society jeans styles available.

Due to construction of a critical 36” water main, High Street will be closed to through traffic between the Presidio and Franklin Street for a three-week period, 7am-5pm, weekdays only, beginning in mid-March 2017. The High Street Gate at the Presidio of Monterey will be closed during this work. Please see the Presidio News Release for details.

Small is sew beautiful! Bella's Studio has moved to a slightly smaller space - we're still located in the same building, 140 W. Franklin Street, but we're now on the third floor in Suite 309.

The idea that bigger is better certainly proved false for us. This new, smaller studio feels cozy and is remarkably efficient. In our new spot we continue to offer sewing and craft workshops, private sewing lessons, and open studio time with our Baby Lock sewing machines, and we still have a retail boutique selling a collection of contemporary fabrics, sewing notions, and handmade gift items. We invite you to visit us at our new home!

Just in time for spring, the Monterey Hotel Spa is launching a special price for massage every Sunday! For $99, receive a 1 hour massage plus access to the spa amenities. Phone 831-375-3184 to book your appointment.

We offer facials, massage, lash extensions, body wraps, and scrubs with seasonal scents and unique treatments. Want a new look? Come to Sunshine Salon at 147 Webster Street in Old Monterey, a full service salon for men, women, and children. Our friendly, experienced staff like helping people feel good about themselves! Pictured is one of our recent customers, who decided to transform her long, dark hair, getting soft highlights and a bob haircut that's lovely and fresh for spring.

Siamese Bay Restaurant invites you to stop by and try our Curry Noodles. It’s the perfect way to warm yourself on a chilly spring evening! Eaten like a noodle soup, this is a traditional Thai recipe featuring a delicious coconut curry with rice noodles, a boiled egg, and bean sprouts. The bowl pictured here was made to order with chicken.

Siamese Bay Restaurant, located at 131 Webster Street in Old Monterey, is open for lunch Monday-Saturday, 11am-3pm, and open for dinner seven days a week, 5pm-9pm.

Over 500 women on the Monterey Peninsula are without adequate shelter and these women have powerful voices and a unique vision that often goes unnoticed and ignored. The Monterey Museum of Art has partnered with the Fund for Homeless Women to provide cameras to these unsheltered women so that they may capture the world they see. Their exhibition, What We See: Photographs by Women Without Shelter, opens Thursday, March 16 at Monterey Museum of Art on Pacific Street. Learn more about the upcoming exhibition at montereyart.org/wws.
