This isn't any ordinary book club. In this book club, you don't just talk books, you also get to meet the authors!

The books are from a wide ranging array of topics covering just about any genre you could think of. There's probably a title or two in their upcoming book schedule that will interest you no matter what type of reader you are.

There are no requirements to participate. In fact, you don’t even have to read the book! You can come just for the chance to meet the author and get a copy of the book signed, if that's what you want.

Here are some of the faces that make Downtown Campbell more than just a small district with restaurants and some shops. Every month, a different business in Downtown Campbell hosts this gathering of business owners, nonprofit representatives, and City of Campbell officials to go over upcoming events, share news, and discuss ways to support each other and make Downtown Campbell a better place. The meeting this month was at the newly opened Water Tower Kitchen.

These people are the Downtown Campbell Business Association (DCBA) and they're the community minded volunteers who are behind the scenes of much of what happens in Downtown Campbell. It's really amazing that Downtown Campbell is as well composed as it is because so much of it is being done by volunteers in their "spare time". This isn't typical of a lot of the Main Street districts that you know. Places like Downtown Campbell usually have at least one full time staff person to run the show.

What we lack in resources, we make up for in culture. It's a "culture of doing stuff" and it includes our fans and local residents who reward us for doing what we do by showing up and bringing friends. That in turn encourages businesses who want to be a part of this culture to open up shop in Downtown Campbell and help us keep this thing going.

At Coastal Classy Events and Design, sometimes we fall in love with unique pieces that we know our couples will love too. We love our clients so much that we take one for the team and purchase these lovelies and make them available to rent so that you don't have to hunt them down and pay top dollar for them on your own.

This gold and marble cake stands is one of our favorites, but if it doesn't fit your style don't worry, we have plenty of others. And the best part is that Meghan has been hard at work gathering a gallery of images of all the pretty things we have to offer. So coming soon we'll open a rentals section on our website where couples can browse wonderful things we've found to make your wedding even more personal.

The office of Coastal Classy Events and Design is in Old Monterey at 281 Webster Street.

On The Beach invites you to come and make a customized skateboard built to your specific preferences here at our shop. We have lots of options available, and great customer service that you'll only find at a locally-owned, family-run business like ours. We're located at 693 Lighthouse Avenue in Monterey.
