Yoga Book Club at Union Yoga

Union Yoga is happy to announce that we're beginning a Yoga Book Club led by Brett Williams Scott in January 2019. We're kicking off strong with a discussion of the Bhagavad Gita, an essential piece of Indian spirituality and cornerstone of yogic philosophy.

There's enough depth in this work to study for years (and some yogis do). We would be honored for you to join us to study the work over the next two months.

What is the Bhagavad Gita? Why do we care?
Homework: Bring a copy of the book (we are using the Easwaran translation). Optional homework: read the Introduction and Chapter 1

Andronico's Market Opens in New Monterey

Great news, New Monterey residents! Andronico’s Community Market (owned and operated by Safeway) is opening on Wednesday, January 9, at 900 Lighthouse Avenue in Monterey (corner of Lighthouse and David). It is open daily 5:30am-10pm.

Andronico’s is the eclectic, upbeat neighborhood hub for feeding a healthy lifestyle. It offers fresh local choices, natural groceries, specialty items, and inspired “made-from-scratch” meals and treats along with the everyday products that everybody likes.

The Lighthouse District's own Monterey County Film Commission's Board of Directors has added three new members to serve in 2019!
